About the Role
Diamond Printing Press is hiring a Shopping Bag Machine Operator to set up, operate, and maintain paper bag manufacturing machines. Candidates should have experience with square bottom paper bag or similar machines and knowledge of handle attachment systems.

Responsibilities
- Set up and operate shopping bag manufacturing machines according to production orders and job specifications
- Read and interpret work orders, production schedules, and technical specifications
- Adjust machine settings to ensure proper bag dimensions, folding, gluing, handle attachment, and overall product quality
- Monitor machine performance during production and make necessary adjustments to maintain efficiency
- Inspect finished bags for size, print alignment, glue application, handle placement, and overall quality
- Troubleshoot machine malfunctions and perform minor repairs or adjustments to reduce downtime
- Minimize material waste and maximize machine productivity
- Record production output, downtime, machine issues, and material usage
- Coordinate with Printing, Quality Control, and Maintenance teams to ensure smooth production
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company policies and safety regulations
Requirements
- Experience in operating square bottom paper bag, shopping bag, or SOS bag or any paper bag manufacturing machines
- Familiarity with handle attachment systems (twisted paper handle or flat handle)
- Knowledge of paper bag production processes, machine setup, and quality control procedures
- Ability to read and follow production instructions and technical specifications
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Willing to work shifts, overtime, weekends, or holidays as required

Job Summary
- The Shopping Bag Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining shopping bag manufacturing machines to produce high quality paper bags according to customer specifications.
- The role ensures efficient production, minimizes waste, performs quality inspections, and maintains compliance with safety and production standards.
