About the Role
Diamond Printing Press is seeking a Heidelberg Offset Printing Assistant Machine Operator to support the Machine Operator in setup, operation, and maintenance of Heidelberg offset printing presses.

Responsibilities
- Assist the Heidelberg Machine Operator during machine setup and production runs
- Prepare and load paper, printing plates, inks, coatings, and other production materials
- Help set up the press according to job specifications and production schedules
- Monitor paper feeding, ink levels, and machine performance during printing
- Perform quality checks by inspecting printed sheets for color consistency, registration, and print defects
- Assist with ink adjustments, plate changes, blanket washing, and roller cleaning
- Remove waste materials and maintain a clean and organized work area
- Help minimize machine downtime by preparing materials in advance and responding promptly to production needs
- Perform routine cleaning and basic preventive maintenance of the printing press
- Report machine issues, print defects, or material shortages to the Machine Operator or Production Supervisor
- Follow company quality standards, production procedures, and workplace safety regulations
Requirements
- Experience assisting with Heidelberg Speedmaster or other Heidelberg offset presses
- Basic knowledge of Heidelberg offset printing machines and offset printing processes
- Familiarity with printing materials, inks, paper types, and press components
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a fast paced production environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Willing to work shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays when required

Job Summary
- The Heidelberg Offset Printing Assistant Machine Operator supports the Machine Operator in the setup, operation, and maintenance of Heidelberg offset printing presses.
- This role is responsible for preparing materials, maintaining machine efficiency, ensuring print quality, and assisting in achieving production targets while following company quality and safety standards.
