Diamond Printing Press is seeking a skilled Heidelberg Offset Printing Machine Operator to set up, operate, and maintain Heidelberg offset printing presses. Responsibilities
- Set up and operate Heidelberg offset printing machines according to job specifications
- Read and interpret job orders, production schedules, and printing instructions
- Prepare printing plates, inks, paper stock, and other materials for production
- Adjust machine settings to ensure accurate color registration, print quality, and proper alignment
- Monitor print runs and perform quality inspections throughout production
- Troubleshoot machine issues and make necessary adjustments to maintain production efficiency
- Perform routine machine maintenance, cleaning, and lubrication to ensure optimal performance
- Replace consumable parts such as blankets, rollers, and other machine components as needed
- Minimize paper waste and machine downtime by maintaining efficient production practices
- Ensure compliance with company quality standards and workplace safety procedures
- Coordinate with the Production Supervisor, Prepress, and Finishing teams to meet production schedules
Requirements
- Experience operating Heidelberg offset printing machines (e.g., Speedmaster series)
- Strong knowledge of offset printing processes, color matching, ink control, and print registration
- Ability to read job tickets and understand production specifications
- Good attention to detail and commitment to producing high quality printed materials
- Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines
- Willingness to work shifts, overtime, weekends, or holidays when required
