The Shipyard Operations Manager will oversee vessel maintenance, repair, and service projects from intake through delivery.
The role is based in person and involves coordinating shipyard personnel, suppliers, service providers, and vessel owners.
Key responsibilities
- Manage incoming vessels and conduct technical inspections.
- Prepare repair scopes and identify required parts and materials.
- Coordinate procurement of spare parts and services.
- Plan and supervise daily activities of technicians and subcontractors.
- Monitor project progress and ensure completion within agreed deadlines.
- Ensure quality control, safety compliance, and customer satisfaction.
- Liaise with vessel owners, suppliers, and service providers.
- Maintain accurate job records, reports, and project schedules.
Requirements
- At least 4 to 5 years of experience in marine maintenance, yacht service, or shipyard operations is required.
- Strong knowledge of marine mechanical, electrical, and onboard systems is required.
- Experience in vessel inspections, troubleshooting, and repair planning is required.
- The ability to manage teams, resources, and multiple projects simultaneously is required.
- Good organizational, communication, and leadership skills are required.
Preferred background
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and maintenance management software is an advantage.
- A background in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent marine industry experience is preferred.
Work location
- The position is performed in person.
