JOB TITLE: Shipper-Receiver

DESCRIPTION:
This role is critical to maintaining efficient laboratory operations and customer satisfaction. The Shipper-Receiver managers shipping and receiving, bottle order preparation, inventory management, disposal and driving related duties for all laboratory operations in support of the Sample Logistics team. This position also includes administrative functions.
Key Accountability/Responsibilities:
Process and fulfill bottle orders from LIMS, including preparation of blanks for orders
Coordinate shipping of orders and arrange courier services for delivery
Maintain accurate warehouse inventory for bottle orders and laboratory supplies, including tracking of bottle proofing and releasing bottle lots into production
Receive, unpack, organize and distribute supplies to end users in a timely manner
Receive and enter packing slips into FLEX system for Atlantic Canada locations; manage received scanned slips from other labs and maintain these documents in organized manner
Manage laboratory item ordering in FLEX system; provide backup coverage for departmental ordering as required
Retrieve Certificates of Analysis (CofA’s) for all products with lot numbers; apply labels to products accordingly. Scan and enter all CofA’s for electronic storage
Conduct and lead quarterly inventory counts
Manage supplies for the lab including stationery, toner supplies, cleaning supplies. Coordinate procurement and distribution
Clean and maintain coolers
Monitor and follow up with suppliers on delayed orders; obtain and communicate delivery dates

Adhere to Bureau Veritas’ safety policies and TDG regulations
Ensure “Good Housekeeping” standards are met or exceeded
All other responsibilities as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS [Minimum Requirements]:
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma required
Warehouse experience is considered an asset
Inventory management is considered an asset
Strong computer skills (Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Excel, etc.)
Valid driver’s license required

Excellent attention to detail
Ability to work independently as well as engage others when required in escalation of concerns to meet the client needs or to best manage client disappointments
Energetic and keen with a positive attitude who thrives in a fast-paced environment where multi-tasking, prioritizing and adapting to changes are required
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
Availability for shift work, OT and weekend work required

Flexible working hours, overtime and shift work
Changing priorities and balancing workload to meet tight deadlines
Some lifting and carrying (up to 40 lbs) and may involve long periods of standing
