Job Description

  • Report shift activities, outstanding issues, work orders, equipment status, and incidents to engineering supervisors.
  • Own electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance during the assigned shift.
  • Respond to maintenance requests in guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house areas, and engineering spaces.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain LV systems, electrical distribution, lighting, controls, motors, pumps, panels, and related installations.
  • Read electrical drawings, schematics, manuals, and building services drawings.
  • Perform safe electrical isolation and reinstatement in accordance with procedures, permits, and safety requirements.
  • Update work orders and maintenance records accurately.
  • Support BMS, GRMS, lighting controls, access control interfaces, and other low-voltage systems within competence.
  • Perform basic general maintenance including plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting, sealing, grouting, and minor building repairs.
  • Attend emergency breakdowns, alarms, incidents, and assigned fire and life-safety checks.
  • Maintain housekeeping, safe work practices, tools, spare parts, guest privacy, and professional communication.

Qualifications

  • Minimum two-year diploma or technical diploma in electrical engineering, electrical technology, or a closely related electrical trade qualification.
  • A recognized electrician trade certification of equivalent level may be accepted.
  • Experience in luxury hotels, commercial buildings, hospitals, or complex facilities is preferred.
  • Experience in shift-based engineering operations and guest-related maintenance requests is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with LV electrical systems, electrical controls, preventive maintenance, and fault finding is essential.
  • Good spoken and written English is mandatory.
  • Clear communication, troubleshooting, problem-solving, teamwork, independence, and a service-oriented approach are required.
