Position Overview

  • Goodwill is hiring a Community Store Shift Supervisor to assist in daily retail store operations, lead and coach team members, and ensure donor and customer satisfaction.

What You Will Do

  • Ensure 100% donor satisfaction and world class customer service.
  • Monitor and manage the flow of donations in accordance with standard procedures.
  • Assist Manager or Assistant Manager in day to day store operations.
  • Assist in scheduling staff and preparing time and attendance reports.
  • Train, develop and supervise team members.
  • Monitor team member behaviour and assist with managing performance.
  • Ensure safety standards are maintained through training, inspections, and reports.
  • Complete cash register readings, cash reports, daily deposits, paid outs and WESA reports.
  • Keep current on product knowledge, industry trends and competitive pricing.
  • Support the Goodwill mission through assessments, training and community partnerships.

What We Are Looking For

  • Flexibility to work days, evenings, and weekends.
  • Customer service skills.
  • Computer literacy (Word, Excel, email).
  • Health and safety, loss prevention.
  • Coaching, developing people.
  • Post secondary education an asset.
  • 1 2 years of experience supervising people and processes simultaneously.
  • Valid driver's license and vehicle insurance.
  • Satisfactory criminal reference check vulnerable persons check.
