Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise the operations shift team including shift leads and operators
- Manage day to day plant shift operations, including daily customer production meetings and communication with feedstock suppliers
- Interface with maintenance and engineering teams to ensure safe and reliable operation
- Ensure operations staff are properly trained and support operations as needed
- Provide direction to staff for operation of the HYCO Steam Methane Reformer unit and ancillary equipment
- Provide operations support and guidance during startups, shutdowns, and emergencies
- Manage plant production efficiently based on data driven decisions
- Ensure compliance with safety programs, environmental regulations, and maintenance tasks
- Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis
- Act as single point of contact for internal issues of the HYCO units
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in chemical, mechanical, or chemical process operations preferred; associate technical degree considered with experience
- Minimum 10 years of experience in gas, petrochemical, or related industries in operations, engineering, or maintenance
- At least 4 years in line supervision of process operations roles
- Proven coordination experience in a multi team environment including operations, engineering, and maintenance
- Good leadership, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
- Ability to communicate and manage customer interactions daily
- Proficiency in English speaking and writing
- Knowledge of local environmental and health and safety requirements

Job Description
- The HYCO Operations Shift Supervisor is accountable for managing and supervising the operations shift team for BHIG facilities including a Hydrogen Steam Methane Reformer, CO2 Removal Unit, CO2 Compression, HPSA, Membrane Unit, utilities, and pipeline network.
- Manages day to day plant shift operations, including customer production meetings and communication with feedstock suppliers.
Principal Accountabilities
- Provide and maintain a safe work environment; demonstrate leadership with safe work processes.
- Provide direction to staff for operation of the HYCO Steam Methane Reformer unit and ancillary equipment.
- Provide direction and guidance based on technical feedback from management, engineering, and maintenance.
- Provide operations support and lead the team during startups, shutdowns, and emergencies.
- Manage plant production efficiently based on data driven decisions.
- Work closely with shift team, management, maintenance, and engineering to achieve production targets.
- Ensure safety of all operations personnel through BHIG Basic Safety Practice program.
- Ensure all environmental regulatory requirements are met.
- Ensure compliance with CM, PM tasks.
- Support shutdown and turnaround planning.
- Meet customer satisfaction on safety, reliability, product quality, and flexibility.
- Build plant technical capability through coordination with management and teams.
Skills
