Job Description

  • The HYCO Operations Shift Supervisor is accountable for managing and supervising the operations shift team for BHIG facilities including a Hydrogen Steam Methane Reformer, CO2 Removal Unit, CO2 Compression, HPSA, Membrane Unit, utilities, and pipeline network.
  • Manages day to day plant shift operations, including customer production meetings and communication with feedstock suppliers.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Provide and maintain a safe work environment; demonstrate leadership with safe work processes.
  • Provide direction to staff for operation of the HYCO Steam Methane Reformer unit and ancillary equipment.
  • Provide direction and guidance based on technical feedback from management, engineering, and maintenance.
  • Provide operations support and lead the team during startups, shutdowns, and emergencies.
  • Manage plant production efficiently based on data driven decisions.
  • Work closely with shift team, management, maintenance, and engineering to achieve production targets.
  • Ensure safety of all operations personnel through BHIG Basic Safety Practice program.
  • Ensure all environmental regulatory requirements are met.
  • Ensure compliance with CM, PM tasks.
  • Support shutdown and turnaround planning.
  • Meet customer satisfaction on safety, reliability, product quality, and flexibility.
  • Build plant technical capability through coordination with management and teams.

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in chemical, mechanical, or chemical process operations preferred; associate technical degree considered.
  • Experience in gas, petrochemical, or related industries in operations, engineering, or maintenance.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience with 4+ years in line supervision of process operations roles.
  • Proven coordination experience in a multi team environment.
  • Good leadership, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to communicate and manage customer interactions daily.
  • Wide technical knowledge in operations, engineering, and maintenance.
  • Proficiency in English speaking and writing.
  • Knowledge of local environmental and health and safety requirements.
