McMaster University’s INSPIRE Office of Flexible Learning is seeking sessional faculty for INSPIRE 3II3 – Interdisciplinary Inquiry during the 2027 May intersession.
Two sections are available, with projected enrolment of 100 students and 18 hours per week listed.
The position is a limited-term appointment with a listed contract duration of 0.8 months.
Course Responsibilities
- Teach a four-week, three-unit interdisciplinary course from May 3 to May 28, 2027.
- Propose a different course topic and theme based on the instructor’s subject expertise.
- Design an immersive, intensive, interactive, and imaginative course using inquiry-based and experiential models.
- Design the compressed course to follow the traditional expectations of a three-unit course.
Course Description
INSPIRE 3II3 explores working, learning, and imagining across traditional academic paradigms.
The course is open to students from all McMaster faculties and the Arts and Science program.
Each section will have a different topic determined by the instructor’s expertise.
