ServiceNow Platform Architect

Role Overview

Architecture and Design

• Shape and maintain the platform's architectural roadmap in alignment with best practices and business objectives.
• Build secure, scalable ServiceNow solutions that use the platform's capabilities effectively.
• Set technical standards for builds and integrations.

Delivery and Integration

• Drive delivery across core modules including ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, and CSM as engagements require.
• Manage integrations between ServiceNow and the broader enterprise application landscape.
• Maintain data integrity and consistency across connected systems.

Build and Customization

• Guide application customization and configuration to meet specific client requirements.
• Lead custom application and module development with a focus on long-term maintainability.
• Ensure delivered solutions are properly documented for future teams.

Governance and Quality

• Establish governance frameworks and best practices and enforce delivery standards.
• Conduct periodic checks of platform performance, scalability, and security posture.
• Maintain compliance with relevant regulatory and organizational requirements.

Stakeholder and Team Leadership

• Work with client stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Act as a technical reference point for development and administration teams.
• Report platform strategy and health to senior leadership.

Innovation

• Track new ServiceNow releases and capabilities.
• Identify and lead automation opportunities that reduce manual effort.
• Champion improvements that make the platform easier and better to use.

Qualifications and Experience

• A degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related discipline is required; an advanced degree is a plus.
• At least 12 years of overall IT experience and 7 years of ServiceNow experience are required.
• Experience leading implementation, customization, and integration work is required.
• Prior leadership or architect-level experience in a complex IT environment is required.
• ServiceNow CSA certification is required.
• ServiceNow CIS certification and additional ServiceNow certifications are preferred or a plus.
• Hands-on skills in JavaScript, Glide API, and REST/SOAP integrations are required.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills are required.
