The Project Manager or Delivery Manager is responsible for planning and implementing IT projects.
The role translates IT and business strategy into specifications and manages delivery in a complex utilities environment.
Responsibilities
- Plan and manage projects with business process owners and obtain stakeholder sign-off on requirements.
- Design integrated business solutions and processes and document user journeys.
- Manage timelines, deliverables, resources, budgets, scope, and project plans.
- Manage stakeholder relationships and resolve misunderstandings, scope additions, and conflicts.
- Develop, execute, and document test plans and perform quality control.
- Implement deliverables with minimal disruption to daily business activities.
- Communicate project information and provide delivery and governance reporting.
Required competencies
- Good command of English; Arabic bilingual capability is preferred.
- Decision-making, initiative, cooperation, conflict resolution, networking, persuasion, and analytical skills.
- Creative problem-solving, facilitation, attention to detail, results orientation, and ability to work under pressure.
Experience and qualifications
- Relevant full-time degree; a Master’s in Computers is preferred.
- Relevant IT project management experience in line with skill-band requirements.
- Experience managing software and business-oriented projects in a complex utilities environment.
- Formal project management certification such as PMP or PRINCE2 Practitioner.
