Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, design, and coordination of wet utility networks, including water supply, sewerage, and stormwater systems for infrastructure and building projects
- Prepare designs, drawings, and technical reports
- Review and validate calculations
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and standards
- Coordinate with internal multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders
- Address site related utility issues
- Provide technical guidance during construction and commissioning
- Mentor junior staff
- Contribute to technical reviews
- Support continuous improvement of utility design processes
Requirements
- Strong technical expertise in wet utilities, including water, sewer, and stormwater network design and coordination
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with clients, authorities, contractors, and internal project teams
- Experience in training and mentoring junior engineers or technicians within a consultancy or engineering environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- Professional certification or membership in a relevant engineering body is preferred
- Proficiency with utility design software and relevant CAD/BIM tools
- Solid knowledge of regional codes and authority requirements
- Proven experience in the GCC region on large scale infrastructure or urban development projects
- Ability to work in a hybrid setup in Abu Dhabi

Role Description
- The Senior Wet Utility role is a full time position based in Abu Dhabi with a hybrid work arrangement, allowing some work from home.
- The individual will lead the planning, design, and coordination of wet utility networks, including water supply, sewerage, and stormwater systems for infrastructure and building projects.
- Day to day tasks include preparing designs, drawings, and technical reports; reviewing and validating calculations; and ensuring compliance with local regulations and standards.
- The role involves coordinating with internal multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders, addressing site related utility issues, and providing technical guidance during construction and commissioning.
- The Senior Wet Utility professional will also mentor junior staff, contribute to technical reviews, and support continuous improvement of utility design processes.
Qualifications
- Strong technical expertise in wet Utilities, including water, sewer, and stormwater network design and coordination.
- Effective Communication skills to collaborate with clients, authorities, contractors, and internal project teams.
- Experience in Training and mentoring junior engineers or technicians within a consultancy or engineering environment.
- Awareness of site logistics and equipment interfaces (e.g., Forklift Operation and other material handling considerations) is beneficial.
- Understanding of service and hospitality standards, including Food & Beverage utilities requirements in mixed use or hospitality projects, is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline; professional certification or membership in a relevant engineering body is preferred.
- Proficiency with utility design software and relevant CAD/BIM tools, along with solid knowledge of regional codes and authority requirements.
- Proven experience in the GCC region on large scale infrastructure or urban development projects, with the ability to work in a hybrid setup in Abu Dhabi.
