- Provide technical guidance to Engineers and Designer
- Provide supervision of design plan and profiles production for entire projects of small scale
- Lead development in production of more complex plans
- Review plans and profiles for technical compliance with design objectives and clarity for construction
- Develop simple workflows/Templates to enable efficient repetition of design
- Apply advanced engineering principles to complex analytical models
- Check design deliverables from equal or less experienced Engineers
- Develop the baseline design schedule for a small team at the start of each task
- Track progress of task assignments vs original baseline schedule
- Primary interface with client on all matters relating to work assignments for one engineering discipline
- Mentor staff on technical aspects including potential to conduct on site training
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years related wet utility design experience
- Thorough knowledge of current technology and engineering software
- Ability to mentor staff on engineering software's InfoWorks ICM applications and processes
- Familiarity with industry practices, codes and regulations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Professional Engineer registration preferred (PE, Peng or CEng)

Job Description
- Parsons is looking for a Senior Wet Utilities Engineer to join our team in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
- In this role you will lead mid level, junior engineers and digital staff for timely and efficient production of quality designs.

What You'll Be Doing
- Provide technical guidance to Engineers and Designer.
- Provide supervision of design plan and profiles production for entire projects of small scale.
- Lead development in production of more complex plans.
- Review plans and profiles for technical compliance with design objectives and clarity for construction.
- Develop simple workflows / Templates to enable efficient repetition of design.

- Contribute as a productive and efficient team member to meet project deadlines.

What Required Skills You'll Bring
- Bachelor’s Degree (Master Degree preferred) in Civil Engineering.
- 8 + years related wet utility design experience.
- Thorough knowledge of current technology in order to be able to select and apply appropriate engineering software for use on the project.
- Ability to mentor staff on engineering software’s Info Works ICM applications and processes.
- Determines methods and solutions to be used for complex engineering problems and selecting the most efficient an economical manner to meet objectives.
- Familiarity with industry practices, codes and regulations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in all software and able to act as mentor to staff developing skills.
- Understands QA/QC standard practices and procedures and guides staff.
- Proficient in non standard detailing.
- Develop complex sketches and detailing for plans.
- Draft special provisions for specialty elements with reduced oversight.

- Potential to perform in a leadership capacity.
- Provide input for design estimates for projects.
- Track hours per task/sheet in design deliverables.
- Support on the preparation of competitive technical and commercial proposals.
- Assist in the initial LOE necessary to cover all work within the proposed scope with minimal supervision.
- Ability to review, identify and propose mitigation to risks within proposed scope.
- Ability to clearly define and provide technical queries to clarify scope ambiguities.
- Develop workflow process and specify the staff as per project requirements.
