- Greet guests warmly and with a smile, offering a friendly and professional introduction to the outlet menu and specials.
- Ensure prompt and courteous service throughout the dining experience, from order taking to the delivery of food and beverages.
- Anticipate guests’ needs and address any special requests or dietary restrictions with care and attention.
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations on menu items, including food and wine pairings, and answer any questions about ingredients or preparation methods.
- Accurately take and record guest orders using a point of sale (POS) system or order pad.
- Communicate orders clearly to the kitchen and bar staff, ensuring all special instructions are noted and executed.
- Monitor the progress of orders and ensure timely delivery to guests, coordinating with kitchen and service staff to ensure quality and presentation standards are met.
- Set up and clear tables efficiently and in accordance with hotel standards, ensuring a clean and polished appearance.
- Present and serve food and beverages in a professional manner, adhering to proper etiquette and service standards.
- Handle guest checks and process payments accurately, following hotel procedures for cash and credit transactions.
- Work closely with other team members, including servers, bussers, and kitchen staff, to ensure seamless service and address any issues that arise.
- Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines, including proper handling and storage of food and beverages.
Requirements
- Proven work experience as a Waiter or Waitress (Min 3 Years)
- Hands on experience with cash register and ordering information system (e.g. Revel POS or Toast POS)
- Previous work experience should have been alcohol licensed
- Basic math skills
- Attentiveness and patience for customers
- Excellent presentation skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to perform well in a fast paced environment
- Active listening and effective communication skills
- Team spirit
- Flexibility to work in shifts
