The Senior Vice President of Strategy Development is part of the senior leadership team.
The role shapes and delivers the organization’s strategic agenda across businesses, functions and international markets.
Strategy Leadership
- Lead enterprise, regional, country, business and functional strategy development from diagnosis and market assessment through implementation.
- Advise Executive Management and senior leaders on growth opportunities, market dynamics, competitive positioning, performance and priorities.
- Own complex, high-priority strategic assignments and manage multiple engagements simultaneously.
- Drive strategic planning and performance management, including financial plans, KPIs, market sizing, business cases and reviews.
Team and Organizational Influence
- Lead, coach and develop a high-performing strategy team.
- Build relationships with business and functional leaders across the organization and international markets.
- Ensure alignment, governance and execution of strategic priorities.
Governance
- Enhance strategy methodologies, frameworks and governance standards.
- Ensure strategic initiatives operate within risk, regulatory, compliance and control requirements.
Experience
- At least 15 years of professional experience.
- At least seven years in strategy development, corporate strategy or management consulting.
- Experience leading enterprise-level strategy assignments from formulation through implementation.
- Experience across multiple markets or business lines is preferred.
- Strong exposure to Executive Management and Board-level stakeholders.
Capabilities
- Exceptional communication, influencing and stakeholder-management capabilities.
- Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing strategy teams in multinational organizations.
- Exceptional strategic, analytical, commercial and problem-solving capabilities.
- Strong understanding of financial services and international markets.
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from a leading academic institution.
- MBA is preferred.
