Job Overview

  • Master Works is seeking a Senior UI/UX Designer & Frontend Developer to design and deliver the user experience for AI powered analytics platforms deployed at major government and enterprise clients.
  • The role combines product design with hands on frontend engineering — translating complex data and AI outputs into intuitive, bilingual (Arabic/English, RTL/LTR) interfaces.
  • The role is central to the success of multiple flagship platforms across the data, analytics, and intelligence portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end to end UX design process — user research, journey mapping, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and pixel perfect mockups — for analyst, supervisor, and administrator workflows.
  • Build and maintain production grade React/TypeScript frontends, ensuring responsive layouts and high performance across modern browsers.
  • Design and engineer a fully bilingual experience (Arabic/English) with first class RTL support using CSS logical properties, locale aware components, and persistent language preference.
  • Build complex data rich interfaces — including media review tools, alert and queue management, annotation workflows, and split panel review experiences.
  • Design and implement analytical dashboards using composable charting libraries — trends, distributions, heatmaps, performance scoring, and workload kanban views with load indicators.
  • Establish and maintain a shared design system (typography, colour, spacing tokens, dark/light themes, component library) consistent with corporate and client brand guidelines and reusable across multiple products.
  • Ensure WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility compliance — keyboard navigation, focus management, screen reader semantics, colour contrast ratios, and bilingual readability.
  • Collaborate closely with backend, AI/ML, and data engineers to define API contracts, error and loading states, and empty states; consume REST endpoints via typed clients.
  • Conduct usability testing with end users and business stakeholders, and translate findings into iterative UI improvements.
  • Work within containerised deployment workflows with awareness of operating in regulated, secure, or air gapped environments where applicable.
  • Contribute to documentation: design specifications, component usage guidelines, user manuals, and onboarding materials for new joiners and end users.
  • Champion design quality across the team — review pull requests for UI changes, mentor junior frontend developers, and uphold consistency across product surfaces.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Human Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, Visual Communication, or a related discipline.
  • Postgraduate qualification (MSc/MA/MBA) in Design, Human Computer Interaction, or a related field is preferred.
  • Recognised certifications in UX (Nielsen Norman Group, Interaction Design Foundation), accessibility (CPACC/WAS), or modern frontend frameworks are a strong plus.
  • 5–7+ years of combined experience as a UI/UX designer and frontend developer, with at least 3 years shipping production React applications.
  • Demonstrable portfolio of complex enterprise or government grade web applications, ideally including bilingual (Arabic/English) and RTL interfaces.
  • Hands on experience with modern React, TypeScript, utility first CSS frameworks (e.g., Tailwind), modern build tools, and standard charting libraries.
  • Proficient in Figma (or equivalent) for design systems, prototyping, and developer hand off; fluency with design tokens and component driven workflows.
  • Exposure to data rich interfaces — dashboards, queues, video review tools, annotation interfaces, or alert management systems — is strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1), i18n/localisation frameworks, and version control (Git).
  • Familiarity with containerised frontends and an appreciation of operating in regulated or secure environments is a strong plus.
  • Excellent leadership and team development skills.
  • Strong user centred design mindset; comfortable working directly with end users and translating ambiguous needs into clear, validated solutions.
