- Act as the primary formal representative before the Federal Tax Authority (FTA)
- Systematically plead, argue, and defend the organization's legal and financial position regarding tax assessments, clarifications, and administrative penalties
- Strategically draft, review, and submit high quality, legally backed technical responses to formal FTA audit notices, technical assessments, and information requests
- Prepare comprehensive case files, 'Facts of the Case' submissions, and formal appeals for VAT Reconsideration applications and subsequent Tax Dispute Resolution Committee (TDRC) escalations
- Oversee and lead end to end statutory FTA tax audits
- Provide proactive corporate interpretation of the evolving UAE Corporate Tax laws, Transfer Pricing frameworks, VAT rules, and Excise duties
Requirements
- Active Chartered Accountant (CA) or ACCA membership is strictly required
- Proven, direct tax advisory or compliance experience within Ernst & Young (EY), PwC, Deloitte, or KPMG
- Must hold active and valid certification as a Registered Tax Agent with the UAE Federal Tax Authority
- Minimum of 5+ years of dedicated, hands on tax practice within the United Arab Emirates
- Strong professional proficiency in written and spoken English and Arabic is highly preferred
- Comprehensive mastery of the UAE Tax Procedures Law, VAT executive regulations, and Corporate Tax decrees

Critical Baseline Requirements
- Professional Qualification: Active Chartered Accountant (CA) or ACCA membership is strictly required.
- Big Four Background: Proven, direct tax advisory or compliance experience within Ernst & Young (EY), PwC, Deloitte, or KPMG.
- FTA Registration: Must hold active and valid certification as a Registered Tax Agent with the UAE Federal Tax Authority.
Key Responsibilities
- FTA Representation & Case Defense: Act as the primary formal representative before the Federal Tax Authority (FTA). Systematically plead, argue, and defend the organization's legal and financial position regarding tax assessments, clarifications, and administrative penalties.
- Notice Management & Dispute Resolution: Strategically draft, review, and submit high quality, legally backed technical responses to formal FTA audit notices, technical assessments, and information requests.
- Tax Litigation & Reconsiderations: Prepare comprehensive case files, 'Facts of the Case' submissions, and formal appeals (processed in both Arabic and English) for VAT Reconsideration applications and subsequent Tax Dispute Resolution Committee (TDRC) escalations.
- Audit Leadership: Oversee and lead end to end statutory FTA tax audits. Ensure that corporate financial records, transaction trails, and ledger data are flawlessly structured, completely transparent, and fully audit compliant.
- Strategic Regulations Advisory: Provide proactive corporate interpretation of the evolving UAE Corporate Tax laws, Transfer Pricing frameworks, VAT rules, and Excise duties to insulate business transactions against administrative non compliance penalties.
Required Qualifications & Competencies
- Certifications: Mandatory Chartered Accountant (CA), ACCA, or equivalent high tier international professional certification.
- Big Four Tenure: Substantial portfolio demonstrating relevant tax division experience inside a Big Four ecosystem.
- Regulatory Credential: Verified credentials as a certified UAE FTA Tax Agent.
- Years of Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of dedicated, hands on tax practice within the United Arab Emirates.
- Bilingual Fluency: Strong professional proficiency in written and spoken English and Arabic is highly preferred. Arabic capability is vital for managing official administrative pleadings, legal representations, and direct submittals to the FTA.
- Legal Depth: Comprehensive mastery of the UAE Tax Procedures Law, VAT executive regulations, and Corporate Tax decrees.
