Responsibilities
- Originate and execute physical fuel oil trading opportunities
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, customers, brokers, and trading counterparties
- Identify regional and international arbitrage opportunities
- Manage the complete trade lifecycle from negotiation through execution and delivery
- Monitor market fundamentals, freight, pricing, refinery dynamics, and geopolitical developments
- Collaborate with operations, logistics, finance, and risk teams to ensure smooth trade execution
- Ensure compliance with internal risk policies, contractual obligations, and regulatory requirements
- Contribute to the growth and profitability of the fuel oil trading desk
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in physical fuel oil trading
- Proven track record of originating and executing profitable fuel oil transactions
- Strong understanding of international fuel oil markets, pricing mechanisms, logistics, and trade finance
- Experience trading HSFO, VLSFO, LSFO, bunker fuels, or other residual fuel products
- Established network of suppliers, buyers, brokers, and industry participants
- Excellent commercial, analytical, negotiation, and relationship management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

Overview
- We are seeking an experienced Fuel Oil Trader to join our growing commodities trading team in Dubai.
- This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven trader with a strong understanding of physical fuel oil markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Originate and execute physical fuel oil trading opportunities.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, customers, brokers, and trading counterparties.
- Identify regional and international arbitrage opportunities.
- Manage the complete trade lifecycle, from negotiation through execution and delivery.

Requirements

- Experience with international commodities trading companies, oil majors, or established trading houses.
- Familiarity with marine fuels, bunkering, storage, blending, or freight markets.
- Knowledge of Middle East, Asia, Africa, or European fuel oil markets.
