Role Overview
The Senior VMware Cloud Foundation Consultant designs, deploys, and manages VMware Cloud Foundation 9.1 environments for enterprise clients.
The role emphasizes vSphere Kubernetes Service and VCF Automation.
Responsibilities
- Design and deploy VMware Cloud Foundation 9.1 with management and workload domains.
- Deploy and operate vSphere Kubernetes Service, including Supervisor clusters and workload management.
- Configure VCF Automation for projects and self-service consumption.
- Implement VCF Operations for fleet monitoring and lifecycle management.
- Document designs and conduct validation testing.
- Facilitate knowledge-transfer sessions.
- Contribute to solution scoping and pre-sales support as needed.
- Ensure reliable delivery in a remote model with effective client communication.
Key Requirements
- At least 5 years of VMware implementations in enterprise environments.
- Experience with VMware Cloud Foundation 9.x, including SDDC Manager and VCF Installer.
- Solid knowledge of vSphere Kubernetes Service and Kubernetes fundamentals.
- Expertise in VCF Automation and service catalog configuration.
- Strong vSphere and storage skills, including vSAN or Fibre Channel.
- Proficiency in NSX and VCF Operations.
- High-quality documentation abilities and client-facing communication skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience with NSX Advanced Load Balancer and NSX Federation.
- Knowledge of automation tools such as PowerCLI, Ansible, or Terraform.
- Previous delivery experience in banking, telecommunications, or regulated environments.
Workplace and Team
- Location: Remote-first with occasional travel.
- Collaborate with a team under the mentorship of a certified architect.
Certifications
- VCP-VCF and/or VCP-DCV certifications are preferred.
