Senior Technical Safety Engineer

Workplace

• The position is based at the client office in Abu Dhabi because of project requirements and client expectations.

Technical Safety Responsibilities

• Provide technical safety expertise and ensure compliance with relevant codes, ADNOC standards, and best practices.
• Coordinate and monitor technical safety design and engineering with EPC contractors within project timeframes.
• Review and approve consultant and EPC contractor work and technical safety deliverables.
• Coordinate the Technical Safety team and support quality execution across project interfaces.
• Resolve technical issues with IPMT, EPC, ADNOC engineering, operations, and site-interface teams.
• Support design-option analysis, optimization, validation, equipment selection, and facility design decisions.
• Participate in layout, model, design, and technical workshop reviews.
• Coordinate technical reviews, bid evaluations, and performance evaluations.
• Provide technical support during installation, pre-commissioning, and commissioning.
• Interface with project, engineering, operations, logistics, and contractor teams.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum 15 years of relevant upstream offshore oil and gas industry experience.
• Experience delivering large projects.
• Middle East or GCC project experience, including work with major regional energy organizations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong technical teamwork and interpersonal skills.
• Detailed knowledge of relevant international codes and standards.
• Knowledge of engineering computer programs and general business software.
• Ability to make independent decisions on complex engineering problems.

Preferred Qualification

• PMC experience is highly preferred.
