Senior Technical Engineer

Role Overview

Technical Responsibilities

• Study project specifications and design drawings.
• Monitor the generation and development of structural, architectural, and MEP shop drawings.
• Ensure shop drawings and materials comply with project specifications, construction sequencing, and the planned time program.
• Review specialist subcontractor designs covering post-tensioned structural elements, steel structures, waterproofing, curtain walls, landscaping, and architectural finishes.
• Coordinate and guide subcontractor designers to meet project requirements.

Project and Client Coordination

• Update management on the status of ongoing activities.
• Liaise with the client and address technical, contractual, and commercial concerns.
• Contribute to design-related discussions and decisions when required.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related technical or construction field.
• At least 12 years of relevant construction-phase experience, including at least 7 years in project management.
• Broad technical and business background; professional registration may be required.
• Strong project management skills and the ability to remain technically hands-on when needed.

Technical and Professional Skills

• Proficiency in scheduling tools such as Primavera P6, with strong sequencing and project timeline management skills.
• Strong understanding of industry standards and best practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and methodical approach.
• Ability to propose improvements and maintain effective internal and external working relationships.

Employment and Compensation

• The position is full time.
• The advertised pay is AED 20,000 to AED 27,000 per month.

Workplace

• The role is site-based in Dubai and requires work in person.
