We are seeking an experienced Senior Supply Chain Operations Manager to provide strategic and operational leadership for end-to-end supply chain operations supporting a key aerospace customer. This role is remote within the United States with an expectation of 50%+ travel to El Paso, Texas, to support customer operations, team leadership, and business objectives.

The Senior Supply Chain Operations Manager will lead supply chain functions with a focus on operational excellence, customer satisfaction, cost optimization, talent development, and continuous improvement. This leader will play a critical role in developing scalable supply chain solutions while delivering exceptional support to customers, team members, and shareholders.

Leadership & Team Management

Recruit, develop, and retain top supply chain talent, including managers and key operational leaders.

Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance management to build a high-performing organization.

Develop succession plans and leadership pipelines for critical roles.

Establish clear goals, metrics, and accountability measures that drive operational excellence and employee development.

Lead large and geographically dispersed teams while fostering engagement, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Create an environment that encourages innovation, open communication, and employee growth.

Supply Chain Strategy & Operations

Develop and execute supply chain strategies aligned with customer requirements and business objectives.

Lead and optimize end-to-end supply chain operations, including: Demand Planning Procurement & Sourcing Inventory Management Logistics & Transportation Warehousing & Distribution Supplier Management Materials Management

Drive operational performance through KPI management, trend analysis, forecasting, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Partner closely with customer stakeholders to ensure service, quality, delivery, and cost objectives are achieved.

Support business growth through scalable processes, systems, and operational best practices.

Financial & Cost Management

Identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve operational efficiency.

Drive productivity improvements through process optimization, automation, and elimination of non-value-added activities.

Develop and manage forecasts related to resources, capacity, inventory, and operational requirements.

Monitor departmental expenses and operational performance to achieve financial objectives.

Customer & Cross-Functional Leadership

Serve as a trusted partner to a key aerospace customer, ensuring exceptional service and responsiveness.

Collaborate with global Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and other functional teams to achieve business goals.

Communicate strategy, performance, risks, and improvement opportunities to senior leadership.

Act as an escalation point for operational and customer-related challenges.

What is the experience needed to be successful in this role?

Bachelor's degree required in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, Engineering, or a related field.

12+ years of progressive supply chain experience across all major supply chain functions, including planning, procurement, logistics, transportation, warehousing, inventory management, supplier management, and materials operations.

4+ years of people management experience leading managers, supervisors, and/or large operational teams.

Demonstrated success leading supply chain operations within a manufacturing environment.

Experience managing customer relationships and delivering high levels of customer satisfaction.

Ability to travel 50% or more to support operations and customer activities in El Paso, TX.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting aerospace and defense customers and regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish skills strongly preferred.
  • Experience managing cross-border supply chain operations between the United States and Mexico, including transportation, customs, trade compliance, and material flow optimization.
