Role Overview

Construction Supervision

• Supervise piping installation and erection for onshore and offshore oil and gas facilities.
• Coordinate piping activities with civil, mechanical, structural, electrical, instrumentation, and commissioning teams.
• Verify installation of pipe supports, spool assemblies, valves, fittings, and specialty items.

Execution and Coordination

• Manage contractor and subcontractor piping teams.
• Ensure manpower, tools, equipment, and materials are available for construction.
• Review work packs, schedules, fabrication priorities, and engineering clarifications.
• Interface with vendors and technical specialists on piping systems and equipment connections.

Welding, Testing, and Commissioning

• Monitor fabrication and welding against approved WPS/PQR and project specifications.
• Coordinate hydrostatic testing, pneumatic testing, flushing, air blowing, reinstatement, and preservation.
• Support mechanical completion, ready-for-commissioning activities, walkdowns, punch-list verification, and handover.

HSE and Quality

• Enforce company and client HSE requirements across piping activities.
• Conduct toolbox talks, safety inspections, risk assessments, and unsafe-work interventions.
• Coordinate QA/QC inspections and verify quality records, test packages, NCR closure, welding quality, and NDT activities.

Planning and Reporting

• Monitor progress, productivity, workforce utilization, milestones, and completion targets.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly construction reports.
• Assist project management with recovery plans when required.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10–15 years of piping construction experience in oil and gas projects.
• At least five years of experience in a senior supervisory role.
• Experience across relevant facilities or projects including refineries, petrochemical plants, LNG, pipelines, offshore platforms, or EPC projects.

Technical Requirements

• Strong knowledge of ASME, API, ASTM, ISO, welding codes, and NDT requirements.
• Ability to interpret P&IDs, isometric drawings, general arrangement drawings, plot plans, and stress analysis reports.
• Knowledge of hydrotesting, pneumatic testing, flushing, and commissioning requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Construction Management, Welding Inspection, or Piping Systems certification is advantageous.
• NEBOSH, IOSH, or OSHA certification is preferred.
• Experience with major international oil and gas operators is highly preferred.
