Thornton Tomasetti’s Structural Engineering practice designs solutions for buildings and complex structures while balancing function, sustainability, constructability, schedule, and budget.
The company is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join its Structural Practice.
Candidates should have 7-8 years of experience on medium- to large-size projects, preferably in a consulting engineering firm environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the direction, coordination, planning, organization, integration, and completion of engineering projects.
- Communicate with clients to understand project requirements.
- Plan engineering programs and organize project staff according to project requirements.
- Perform analysis and design of structural systems for buildings using various materials and building codes.
- Manage design team members and supervise engineers and drafters.
- Direct project staff in preparing contract documents, including drawings and specifications.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Architecture is required.
- A Master’s degree in structural engineering is preferred.
