About the Role
Buro Happold is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer in Riyadh to lead the design and delivery of building structures projects. You will apply advanced analysis using ETABS, SAFE, and other software, coordinate with architects and MEP engineers, and mentor junior staff.

Responsibilities
- Lead the design and delivery of building structures projects, ensuring technical quality and alignment with client and sustainability objectives
- Apply advanced structural analysis and design skills using software such as ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000, RAM Concept, and Robot
- Prepare design reports, technical specifications, and presentations
- Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate structural solutions seamlessly within the overall design
- Review and supervise work by junior engineers and provide mentorship
- Engage in peer reviews and quality assurance processes to ensure high standards of technical delivery
Requirements
- Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s level preferred)
- Chartered or working towards chartership with a recognized body (e.g., IStructE, ICE)
- Minimum 7 years of experience in structural engineering design within a consultancy environment
- Proficiency in relevant design and analysis tools (ETABS, Revit, Rhino/Grasshopper, Tekla, etc.)
- Strong understanding of regional and international codes and standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build strong client relationships
- Passion for innovation, sustainability, and delivering elegant and efficient engineering solutions
- Professional proficiency in English and Arabic
