About the Role

Responsibilities
- Lead the supervision of structural works on large scale building projects
- Review and approve structural shop drawings, calculations, method statements, material submittals, and temporary works proposals
- Ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and relevant codes
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to monitor quality and progress
- Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, contractors, and client representatives
- Review contractor requests for information (RFIs), inspections, and technical submissions
- Identify non conformances and ensure timely corrective actions are implemented
- Support the Resident Engineer in progress monitoring, reporting, and technical issue resolution
- Witness testing and commissioning activities relating to structural systems
- Mentor and guide site inspectors and junior engineers
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- 12–15 years of post graduate experience
- Minimum 8 years' experience on building construction supervision projects in the GCC
- Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete and structural steel construction
- Experience reviewing structural calculations and temporary works
- Familiarity with Dubai Municipality, DDA, Trakhees, and other relevant authority requirements
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Membership of a recognized professional engineering body is desirable

Job Description
- WSP in the Middle East is seeking a highly experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our Construction Supervision team in Dubai, providing technical leadership on major building developments.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring structural works are executed in accordance with approved designs, project specifications, international standards, and local authority requirements.
