Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Structural Design Engineer with a minimum of 15 years of professional experience in structural design engineering for major projects.
The ideal candidate must have strong expertise in structural analysis, ETABS modeling, advanced structural calculations, and design optimization, with the ability to lead structural design development across complex projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead structural design development across all project stages (Concept, Schematic, Detailed Design, IFC).
- Perform advanced structural analysis and design calculations for reinforced concrete and steel structures.
- Develop, review, and optimize structural models using ETABS, SAFE, and SAP2000.
- Ensure accuracy and efficiency of structural systems, load distribution, stability analysis, and code compliance.
- Review and validate structural calculations, design assumptions, and engineering solutions.
- Prepare and review structural drawings, reports, specifications, and technical submissions.
- Coordinate with architectural, MEP, geotechnical, and infrastructure teams to ensure integrated project delivery.
- Identify and resolve structural design issues, including unsafe members, load path conflicts, and coordination clashes.
- Participate in technical meetings, client presentations, and design workshops.
- Support value engineering studies and propose optimized structural solutions.
- Mentor junior engineers and support internal technical quality processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in structural design consultancy.
- Strong expertise in:
• Steel Structure Design
- Foundation Design
• ETABS Modeling & Analysis
- Expert-level proficiency in:
- ETABS
- SAFE
- SAP2000
- AutoCAD
- Revit Structure
- Strong understanding of international design codes and Saudi Building Code requirements.
- Proven ability to handle complex structural systems and resolve technical design challenges.
- Excellent technical leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- GCC/Saudi Arabia project experience is highly preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in governmental and mega projects.
- Familiarity with BIM workflows and multidisciplinary coordination.
- PMP, PE, or related professional certifications are considered an advantage.
