Overview
We are seeking a highly qualified Senior Electrical Design Engineer with a minimum of 15 years of experience in electrical design engineering for large-scale projects.
The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in electrical systems design, multidisciplinary coordination, and project delivery within consultancy environments, with the ability to lead design processes from concept through IFC stage.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead electrical design development across all project stages (Concept, Schematic, Detailed Design, IFC).
- Prepare and review electrical design drawings, calculations, specifications, and technical reports.
- Design and coordinate:
• Power Distribution Systems
- Lighting Systems
• Backup Power & Generator Systems
- Coordinate with architectural, structural, mechanical, and infrastructure teams to ensure integrated design solutions.
- Ensure compliance with Saudi Building Code, international standards, and authority requirements.
- Participate in technical meetings, client presentations, and design workshops.
- Review contractor/shop drawing submissions and technical material approvals when required.
- Support value engineering initiatives and technical optimization studies.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to internal quality assurance processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in electrical design consultancy.
- Strong experience in large-scale governmental, commercial, institutional, or mixed-use projects.
- Excellent knowledge of:
- LV Systems
- Lighting Design
• Electrical Load Calculations
- Power Distribution
- Authority Requirements
- Proficiency in:
- AutoCAD
- Revit MEP
- Dialux
- ETAP (preferred)
- BIM workflows
- Strong coordination, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- GCC/Saudi Arabia project experience is highly preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with government entities and mega projects.
- Knowledge of SEC requirements and authority approvals.
- PMP, LEED, or BIM certifications are considered an advantage.
