About the Role

Responsibilities
- Perform detailed structural design of bridges, tunnels, underpasses, retaining walls, car parks, and public infrastructure related buildings/structures
- Produce design drawings, calculation reports, and technical specifications
- Supervise other engineers and CAD team members as per assigned project tasks
- Act as a checker within the team to ensure quality of deliverables prior to formal client submissions
- Communicate with other technical disciplines to produce well coordinated designs
- Track progress of assigned design tasks and report status and emerging issues to Design Manager and Project Managers
- Support other engineering activities as required by the Lead Engineer
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering
- 8 years of related work experience with demonstrable hands on experience in structural design of bridges and related structures
- Strong proficiency with structural and bridge design software including Midas Civil, CSi Bridge, SAP2000, Structural Bridge Design (Autodesk), AutoCAD, Bentley RAM, Prokon
- In depth knowledge of relevant design codes and standards including British Standards, Eurocode, AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications
- Business level English language skills
- UPDA (MME) registration in Qatar, or eligibility and ability to obtain registration within 6 months

Job Description
- Senior Bridge / Structural Engineer Qatar. Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Bridge / Structural Engineer to join our team! What You’ll Be Doing
- Performing detailed structural design of bridges, tunnels, underpasses, retaining walls, car parks, and public infrastructure related buildings/structures.
- Producing design drawings, calculation reports, and technical specifications.
- Supervising other engineers and CAD team members as per assigned project tasks.
- Acting as a checker within the team to ensure the quality of deliverables prior to formal client submissions.
- Communicating with other technical disciplines to produce well coordinated designs that satisfy functionality, serviceability, and constructability requirements and provide clash free configurations.
- Tracking the progress of assigned design tasks and reporting status and emerging issues to the Design Manager and Project Managers.
- Supporting other engineering activities as required by the Lead Engineer.
- Performing other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
- Working in a self motivated manner and requiring only minor supervision on committed tasks.
What Required Skills You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering.
- 8 years of related work experience, with demonstrable hands on experience in the structural design of bridges and related structures.
- Strong proficiency with structural and bridge design software, including: Midas Civil, CSi Bridge, SAP2000, Structural Bridge Design (Autodesk), AutoCAD, Bentley RAM (connections/elements), Prokon.
- In depth knowledge of relevant design codes and standards, including: Client related structural design guidelines and Interim Advice Notes (e.g., IAN 009), British Standards, Eurocode, AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications.
- Business level English language skills sufficient to produce well written, structured technical reports with minimal grammatical corrections and to communicate clearly in verbal discussions.
- UPDA (MME) registration in Qatar, or eligibility and ability to obtain registration within 6 months of onboarding.
What Desired Skills You’ll Bring
- Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering is highly preferred.
- Possession of internationally recognized engineering licenses such as PE, SE, or CEng is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with Revit or other BIM tools for structural coordination.
- Native level English speaking and writing skills.
