Senior Staff Software Engineer, Fullstack (Marketplace and Consumer Experiences)

Role Overview

What You'll Do

• Define technical vision, long-term roadmap, and strategic initiatives for Marketplace, Search, Ads Platform, and App Experiences.
• Champion technical excellence and business results across consumer-facing experiences.
• Build ownership, accountability, scale, and efficiency across engineering teams.
• Guide reliable user experiences and extend platform components for new products and features.
• Shape platform, tooling, architecture, and technology decisions for consistency and reliability.
• Mentor engineers and promote best practices and professional growth.

What We Look For

• 10+ years of experience across the stack with backend architectural improvement experience.
• Track record leading critical projects across multiple engineering teams and organizational boundaries.
• Extensive experience implementing technical strategy that improved reliability and responsiveness.
• Ability to influence ownership culture, collaborate cross-functionally, and make customer-focused technical decisions.
• Comfort working through ambiguity and understanding code, systems, dependencies, and opportunities for improvement.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Equivalent practical experience or a Bachelor's degree in a related field.

Additional Qualifications

• Experience with React Native, JavaScript, or Kotlin is a bonus.
• Previous project management or people management experience is preferred.

Compensation

• The annual base pay range is $265,000 to $325,000 in California, Washington, New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut.
• The annual base pay range is $236,000 to $296,000 in other United States states.
• Total compensation may include equity rewards, monthly stipends, and benefits.
