Role Overview
Nair Systems is seeking a SQL Database Administrator for its UAE operations.
The role supports banking database operations across production, disaster recovery, UAT, and development environments.
Database Administration
- Administer, monitor, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server databases.
- Perform database installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, and migrations.
- Monitor performance and optimize queries, indexes, and SQL Server resources.
- Manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes for business continuity.
Operations and Security
- Troubleshoot database incidents, performance issues, and service interruptions.
- Implement and maintain database security, access controls, encryption, and audit requirements.
- Support Always On Availability Groups, Failover Clustering, and Replication.
- Work with application support, developers, infrastructure teams, and vendors.
Documentation and Compliance
- Maintain database documentation, operational procedures, and health check reports.
- Ensure compliance with banking policies, cybersecurity standards, and regulatory requirements.
