- Oversee the preparation and timely filing of tax returns and ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations
- Advise various departments on tax implications related to business transactions and business planning
- Conduct thorough analysis of tax liabilities and develop strategies to optimize overall tax efficiency
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and prepare reports detailing their implications for the organization
- Collaborate with auditors and external consultants during tax audits and ensure accurate and efficient interaction with tax authorities
- Provide support in the development of tax policies and procedures to enhance compliance and manage risks
- Train and mentor junior tax staff on tax processes and procedures
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Law, or a related field (Master's degree or relevant certification such as CPA, CA, or ACCA is advantageous)
- At least 5 years of experience in tax compliance and advisory roles, with a strong emphasis on international tax issues
- Deep understanding of current tax laws, regulations, and practices
- Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex tax codes
- Proficient in tax compliance software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey tax concepts to non tax professionals
- Prior experience in a large corporate environment or consultancy is preferred
