About the Role
Abu Dhabi Ports is seeking a Senior Specialist in Occupational Health & Safety to assist HSE management in minimizing risks and ensuring compliance. The role involves developing HSE plans, conducting incident investigations, risk assessments, and training.

Responsibilities
- Participate in establishing HSE objectives, annual action plan, budget, training plan, and performance monitoring
- Review and support development of HSE plans, procedures, and guidelines
- Coordinate with Business Units to create and maintain HSE SOPs and records
- Conduct incident investigations to identify causes and contributing factors
- Conduct and review risk assessments, analyze data, recommend corrective actions
- Monitor effectiveness of Risk Management, Management of Change, Contractor Management, and other HSE procedures
- Develop and conduct HSE training sessions and inductions
- Maintain register of applicable legislation and codes of practice
Requirements
- Experience in HSE management and risk assessment
- Knowledge of applicable legislation and codes of practice
- Ability to conduct incident investigations
- Ability to develop HSE plans and procedures
- Experience in conducting HSE training sessions
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Role Overview
- Assist HSE Management in managing Business Units/Clusters to minimize HSE risks to ALARP and demonstrate commitment to safe operation toward zero harm.
- Ensure AD Ports Group sites and waterways observe highest possible standards of Occupational Health & Safety.
Core Responsibilities
- Participate in establishing HSE objectives, annual action plan, budget, training plan, performance monitoring, incident reporting.
- Review/support development of HSE plans, procedures, guidelines.
- Coordinate with Business Units to create and maintain HSE SOPs and records.
- Conduct incident investigations.
- Conduct and review risk assessments, analyze data, recommend corrective actions.
- Monitor effectiveness of Risk Management, Management of Change, Contractor Management, Audit & Inspection.
- Develop and conduct HSE training sessions and inductions.
- Maintain register of applicable legislation and codes of practice.
- Participate in compliance evaluation process.
- Support preparation of HSE contents for ExCom, Management Review, Steering Committee presentations.
