Role Overview
Prepare and serve a range of a la carte items that meet guest expectations while supervising junior kitchen staff.
Assist with kitchen operations including menu planning and pricing, special events, new dishes, and food quality standards.
Kitchen Operations
- Cook and serve food according to restaurant quality and service standards.
- Supervise Commis and kitchen team members, organize duty rosters, and provide instructions to junior staff.
- Arrange ordering, receiving, storage, and accounting for food supplies and deliveries.
- Monitor FIFO storage, conduct stock takes, control food costs, and minimize waste.
- Plan menus, implement menu changes, and organize high-quality food production.
Food Safety and Equipment
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness, food-storage safety, hygiene, and safe work practices.
- Follow and maintain HACCP and international food and beverage safety standards.
- Educate staff on kitchen health and safety and hygienic food-handling practices.
- Maintain kitchen equipment and report malfunctions or concerns to the Maintenance Team.
Staff Management
- Plan workforce levels according to kitchen activity and maintain staff schedules and leave records.
- Coordinate kitchen training sessions and advise staff on required training courses.
- Maintain good communication among kitchen staff and with the Head Chef.
- Support the Front of House Supervisor in managing the dining room.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or relevant degree is listed as a preferred qualification.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role is stated.
- Well-developed computing skills include Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and ERP/Oracle.
- The ideal candidate has knowledge of cooking techniques, kitchen operations, team management, and cost control.
- Arabic language skills are listed as preferred.
Employment and Pay
- The job is full-time and permanent.
- Pay is QAR 12,300 per month.

- Work location is in person in Doha.
