Responsibilities
- Liaise with creative department to create brand production guidelines
- Source private label apparel suppliers and build relationships with agents and suppliers
- Negotiate prices and determine appropriate order placement based on factory capabilities, quality and delivery
- Develop and evaluate the appropriate agent/vendor/factory structure for private label apparel or hard goods
- Ensure factories are capable of producing quality garments and meet requirements
- Perform special related projects as assigned
- Understand category complexity and its impact on oversight and management
- Coordinate with colleagues to ensure annual plan is set and achieved
- Coordinate with Accounts, Logistics, and Inventory to ensure orders are shipped on time and distributed to stores
- Perform data analysis on products, categories, and vendors to extract insights for future order planning
- Identify new market trends and opportunities
Requirements
- Knowledge of apparel manufacturing, including fabric, color, yarn, garment construction, fit and specifications
- Strong ability to break down the actual cost of a garment
- Strong negotiation skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Established relationship building skills with Buyers, agents and factories
- Detail oriented and able to handle multiple tasks
- Strong organizational and follow through skills
- Thorough understanding and maintains SKUs for multiple products within category
- Strong Analytical skills, ability to analyse vendors’ or orders performance

Role Purpose
- BFL needs a dedicated and motivated Senior Sourcing Specialist to be responsible for private label production of apparel and hard goods for its different brands within the group.
Key Responsibilities
- Liaising with the creative department to create brand production’s guidelines.
- Effectively sources private label apparel suppliers and building relationships with the Agents and Suppliers.
- Negotiates prices and determines appropriate order placement based on factory capabilities, quality and delivery.
- Develops and continuously evaluates the appropriate agent/vendor/factory structure for private label apparel or hard goods.
- Ensures factories are capable of producing quality garments and can meet our requirements.
- Performs special related projects as assigned.
- Begins to understand category complexity and its impact on the level of oversight and management required.
- Coordinate with his/her colleagues in the same department to ensure the annual plan is set and achieved.
