Product & Delivery Collaboration
- Work closely with product managers to transform financial and regulatory requirements into actionable technical designs.
- Support backlog refinement by breaking architecture down into epics, enablers, and technical user stories.
- Guide engineering teams during delivery, providing architecture direction during design, development, testing, and go-live.
Regulatory, Compliance & Security
- Embed security-by-design across identity, access management, data protection, encryption, and
- threat modeling.
- Ensure solutions comply with CBUAE mandates, financial governance frameworks, and internal risk policies.
- Validate that all regulatory reporting, audit trails, lineage, and supervisory visibility requirements are incorporated.
Data & Ai Architecture
- Define data models, pipelines, and governance frameworks for risk analytics, AML detection,
- liquidity insights, and financial AI use cases.
- Collaborate with data scientists and AI teams to ensure explainability, fairness, and regulatory
- acceptability of AI-driven components.
Operational Resilience & Observability
- Design for high availability, business continuity, multi-zone resilience, and disaster recovery
- scenarios.
- Ensure deep observability through logging, metrics, tracing, and operational dashboards tailored for financial operations teams.
Stakeholder Engagement & Governance
- Lead architecture workshops with CBUAE, financial institutions, and technology vendors.
- Facilitate design reviews and contribute to governance forums, architecture boards, and regulatory working groups.
- Produce clear, regulator-friendly architecture documentation and presentations.
Leadership & Vendor Oversight
- Mentor engineers and solution designers to uplift architectural maturity.
- Review vendor proposals, SOWs, and deliverables for technical quality and compliance.
- Champion engineering excellence and financial-grade architectural discipline across teams.
Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related
- field.
- 8–12+ years of experience in solution or enterprise architecture.
- Strong experience designing and delivering financial systems, especially:
- Payment platforms, RTGS, ACH, instant payments
- CSD/ICSD, custody, post-trade processing
- Regulatory technology (RegTech) and supervisory platforms
- Financial data infrastructure, risk analytics, AML/Fraud systems
- Proven experience building secure, compliant, high-availability platforms operating under strict
- regulatory constraints.
Technical Skills
- Architecture & Distributed Systems: Microservices, DDD, integration patterns, high-availability
- design.
- Cloud & Infra: Azure/AWS, Kubernetes, service mesh, IaC (Terraform/Bicep).
- Security: Zero-trust, IAM, PKI, encryption, secrets management, threat modeling.
- Data: Data lakes/warehouses, governance, lineage, streaming pipelines.
- Financial Standards (preferred): ISO 20022, SWIFT, FIX, AML/KYC frameworks, regulatory
- reporting systems.
