Senior Solution Architect - Core Networks

Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Architect end-to-end mobile core solutions across EPC, 5G Core, and IMS, including subscriber management, policy and charging, and gateway functions.
• Define capacity, redundancy, and geo-resilience strategies that meet demanding availability and performance requirements.
• Lead multi-vendor integration across RAN, transport, OSS, MCX, and security domains.
• Create HLD and LLD documents, operational runbooks, and technical reference architectures.
• Manage vendor technical relationships and act as the primary technical interface with technology partners.
• Engage customers and senior stakeholders, present architecture recommendations, and translate technical concepts into business outcomes.
• Manage and mentor the core network engineering team.
• Support deployment, performance optimization, and acceptance activities through operational readiness.

Candidate requirements

• 12+ years of telecom core network architecture experience is required.
• Candidates need experience in mission-critical networks and large-scale core network programs from architecture through deployment.
• Deep knowledge of EPC, 5G Core, IMS, subscriber management, policy and charging, gateway functions, and standalone and non-standalone 5G is required.
• Experience with multi-vendor deployments and integration across RAN, transport, OSS, MCX, and security is required.
• Strong IP networking, routing protocol, and security control expertise is required.
• Experience with SLA translation, HLD and LLD documentation, operational runbooks, capacity planning, and geo-resilience is required.
• Senior stakeholder engagement, customer communication, team leadership, and mentoring capabilities are required.
• KSA-based telecom operator or service provider experience is highly advantageous.
