Role Overview
The role supports the development of scalable, resilient, and secure digital banking platforms.
The architect works across cross-functional squads and collaborates with engineering, security, infrastructure, and business leaders.
The position is based on site.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver end-to-end architectures for mobile, web, and cloud-native applications.
- Define and enforce architecture standards, guidelines, and reusable reference patterns.
- Embed cybersecurity across all layers of application design.
- Lead architecture reviews covering performance, resiliency, and user experience.
- Integrate applications with microservices, event streams, containers, and external systems.
- Conduct peer reviews, lead technical workshops, and coach junior team members.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption strategies.
Technical Expertise Required
- At least 5 years of experience designing web, mobile, or cloud-native applications, microservices, or APIs is required.
- Deep knowledge of microservices, APIs, and event-driven architecture is required.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift, containers, and service mesh is required.
- Strong cybersecurity knowledge covering OWASP, encryption, IAM, and application security is required.
- Experience with Azure, AWS, or OCI is preferred.
- Familiarity with Sparx Enterprise Architect or ER/Studio is preferred.
Candidate Profile
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills are expected.
- The candidate should be able to influence stakeholders and manage priorities independently.
- A passion for clean architecture, security by design, and scalable systems is expected.
- Proactive participation in communities of practice and chapter discussions is encouraged.
- Experience in agile tribes or product-led organizations is a plus.
