Senior Solution Architect - Banking

Role Overview

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise application architecture and solution design across digital products and corporate assisted banking.
• Translate business requirements into secure, scalable, reliable, resilient, and high-performance solutions.
• Develop end-to-end designs, HLDs, architecture patterns, and technical solutions across application and integration layers.
• Evaluate architectural approaches, trade-offs, benefits, limitations, and business or technical impacts.
• Maintain architecture standards, guidelines, patterns, and best practices.
• Provide technical leadership from requirements through implementation and delivery.
• Support architecture governance, security alignment, Agile delivery, and complex stakeholder decision-making.

Required Experience

• Strong solution architecture or technical architecture experience.
• At least 5 years of end-to-end architecture, HLD, solution design, and architecture patterns experience.
• Strong banking or financial services domain experience.
• Experience on at least three projects involving resilient, reliable, and secure application architecture.
• Strong experience with microservices and API-based ecosystems.
• Experience across backend, frontend, APIs, mobile applications, message brokers, and event streams.
• Experience with container-based or cloud-native infrastructure.
• Experience developing architecture standards and guidelines.
• Strong Agile delivery experience, including Tribes, Squads, ceremonies, Features, Epics, Stories, and Acceptance Criteria.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, problem-solving, and solution-oriented skills.

Architecture and Technical Skills

• Design microservices-based applications and secure, scalable, reliable, and resilient APIs.
• Apply event-driven architecture, asynchronous communication, message brokers, and event-streaming technologies.
• Design container-based and cloud-native solutions for scalability, availability, resiliency, and performance.
• Incorporate cyber security and information security into application and solution architecture.
• Understand modern enterprise application architecture, distributed systems, principles, patterns, and trade-offs.

Domain and Preferred Experience

• Functional knowledge of banking, accounting, payments, lending, credit products, digital banking, and corporate assisted banking is expected.
• Corporate banking experience is preferred.
• Digital banking, digital products, corporate assisted banking, large financial institution, and enterprise transformation experience are preferred.
• The candidate should be willing to learn and adapt to new business domains and technologies.

Agile Delivery Experience

• Experience with Agile methodologies and Agile delivery teams is essential.
• Practical experience may include Tribes, Squads, quarterly planning, sprint planning, refinement, and retrospectives.
• Expected Agile deliverables include Features, Epics, User Stories, and Acceptance Criteria.

Leadership Competencies

• Provide technical leadership and architectural decision-making.
