Responsibilities
- Lead high level design for complex, cross service features and evaluate/select appropriate technologies and architectural patterns
- Own and implement critical product components including prototyping, architecture validation, and production grade code
- Drive the engineering agenda for assigned product areas, identify gaps, limitations, and risks, contribute to roadmap planning
- Drive technical communication across engineering, product, DevOps, and ML teams; produce design documents and participate in knowledge sharing
- Direct agentic AI tools across the full engineering workflow: code generation, testing, refactoring, debugging, and documentation
Requirements
- Expert Java engineering: deep understanding of Java internals, GC tuning, Collections Framework, advanced concurrency, NIO/NIO2, performance profiling, heap dump analysis
- Mastery of Spring Framework (IoC/DI, bean lifecycle, Spring Boot)
- Expertise in software architecture and design patterns: monolith and microservices, REST, gRPC, messaging, CQRS, Event Sourcing
- Experience designing high availability and high load systems on GCP (preferred), AWS, or Azure
- Implementing full observability stacks: structured logging, distributed tracing, metrics, alerting
- Practitioner level command of agentic AI tools (Claude Code, Codex, or equivalent) applied to software engineering
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or equivalent)

- A defining expectation is mastery of AI assisted engineering, leveraging agentic AI tools as force multipliers.
What You'll Bring
- Expert Java engineering: deep understanding of Java internals, GC tuning, Collections Framework, advanced concurrency, NIO/NIO2, performance profiling, heap dump analysis.
- Mastery of Spring Framework (IoC/DI, bean lifecycle, Spring Boot). SOLID principles, Clean Code practices, and GoF design patterns.
- Expertise in software architecture and design patterns: monolith and microservices, REST, gRPC, messaging, CQRS, Event Sourcing.
- Experience designing high availability and high load systems on GCP (preferred), AWS, and Azure.
- Implementing full observability stacks: structured logging, distributed tracing, metrics, alerting. SLI/SLO/SLA frameworks.
- Practitioner level command of agentic AI tools applied to software engineering, including prompt engineering, AI context management, multi agent orchestration.
- Experience with Claude Code (Anthropic), Codex (OpenAI), or equivalent is mandatory.

- Own and implement critical product components including prototyping, architecture validation, and production grade code.

- Drive technical communication across engineering, product, DevOps, and ML teams. Produce design documents and participate in tech talks.
- Direct agentic AI tools across the full engineering workflow: code generation, testing, refactoring, debugging, and documentation.
