Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable backend services for IaaS domains including Compute (Nova), Networking (Neutron), and Storage (Cinder)
- Implement robust, type safe integrations with OpenStack services using Spring Cloud OpenFeign and REST/HTTPS clients
- Analyze and optimize latency, memory usage, and thread management in high throughput systems
- Implement and enforce security standards including secure coding, data encryption, and identity management via Spring Security and Keystone
- Participate in development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, containerization, and Kubernetes deployments
- Build distributed systems using Java 17+ and Spring Boot 3.x ensuring high availability and resilience
- Design and maintain RESTful APIs with clean OpenAPI/Swagger documentation
- Design efficient schemas in PostgreSQL and implement high performance queries using Spring Data JPA/Hibernate
- Lead development of comprehensive test suites using JUnit 5, Mockito, and Testcontainers
- Participate in code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and drive best practices in Gradle/Maven build management
Requirements
- 7+ years of backend development experience with mastery of Java 17+ and Spring Boot 3.x
- Expert proficiency in Spring Security, RESTful API design, and distributed system architecture
- Hands on experience with OpenStack (Nova, Neutron, Cinder)
- Advanced knowledge of Spring Data JPA, Spring Cloud, and Feign
- Deep experience with PostgreSQL and Redis
- Advanced skills in JUnit 5, Mockito, and Testcontainers
- Strong understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized deployments
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Gradle or Maven
- Solid understanding of Keystone, Glance, and Octavia
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills

The Opportunity
- We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Java Developer with deep expertise in Java, Spring Frameworks, and cloud native distributed systems.
- The ideal candidate will design and build high scale backend platforms, microservices, and APIs like those used in cloud hyperscalers.
- You will work on high performance, multi threaded, resilient systems, collaborate across teams, and provide technical leadership.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable backend services for core IaaS domains including Compute (Nova), Networking (Neutron), and Storage (Cinder).
- Implement robust, type safe integrations with OpenStack services using Spring Cloud OpenFeign and REST/HTTPS clients.
- Take explicit ownership of backend performance, analyzing and optimizing latency, memory usage, and thread management.
- Implement and enforce security standards including secure coding, data encryption, and robust identity management via Spring Security and Keystone.
- Actively participate in the development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines to support automated testing, containerization, and Kubernetes deployments.
- Build distributed systems using Java 17+ and Spring Boot 3.x, ensuring high availability and resilience.
- Design and maintain RESTful APIs with a focus on clean OpenAPI/Swagger documentation.
- Design efficient schemas in PostgreSQL and implement high performance queries using Spring Data JPA/Hibernate.

Preferred Skills / Qualifications
- Proven experience building platform level systems or services at a hyperscaler scale (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Advanced experience with Project Reactor and WebFlux for high concurrency, non blocking infrastructure gateways.
- Proficiency with Terraform, Ansible, ARM, or Bicep to automate and manage OpenStack environments.
- Exposure to hybrid or multi cloud architectures and cross cloud connectivity strategies.
- Relevant certifications such as Java (OCP), Kubernetes (CKA/CKAD), or Certified OpenStack Administrator (COA).
- Awareness of Resilience Patterns (Circuit Breaker, Bulkhead, Async Communication).
