Role overview
CLEAR is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for its Network Engineering team.
Build next-generation infrastructure that supports the company’s secure identity platform with emphasis on reliability, simplicity, and scalability.
What you’ll do
- Develop processes for building and deploying scalable software-defined networking solutions on AWS.
- Enhance Kubernetes with AWS networking services and service mesh capabilities such as Istio.
- Promote observability and network monitoring practices using tools such as Splunk or Datadog.
- Act as infrastructure product owner by gathering feedback and requirements from engineering teams.
What you’re great at
- 6+ years of infrastructure and platform development experience.
- Production-grade software development using Python or another modern language.
- Strong Kubernetes, EKS, and ECS experience.
- Knowledge of AWS networking, VPCs, route tables, security groups, NAT gateways, load balancers, Route53, Network Firewall, and WAF.
- Experience with Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation.
- Understanding of cloud-native design, networking concepts, and Linux systems.
- Experience with traditional networking equipment such as Palo Alto.
- Experience managing Nginx, API Gateway, and cloud solutions such as Cloudflare or Fastly.
