Role overview
The platform team builds and scales core systems supporting Jetpac's consumer experience across more than 200 countries.
The role requires systems thinking, high ownership, and judgment across reliability, performance, and developer velocity.
The position is based in Gurgaon or Pune with a hybrid work arrangement and is full-time.
Core responsibilities
- Build and scale core consumer platform systems across web and backend.
- Own features end-to-end from design and development through deployment and iteration.
- Use AI-assisted workflows across coding, testing, debugging, and review.
- Build shared components and internal tooling to improve team velocity.
- Improve observability, debugging, performance, reliability, and developer productivity.
Platform focus areas
- Work on API performance, backend systems, caching, and data access patterns.
- Support experimentation, analytics, event pipelines, localization, and global readiness.
- Help evolve architecture for new product categories and integrations.
- Contribute to cart, checkout, rewards, pricing, promotions, and other shared platform capabilities.
Required qualifications
- The role requires 3–5 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Candidates need strong backend fundamentals and experience building production systems.
- Experience designing APIs, services, and scalable data models is required.
- Candidates should be comfortable working with Go and AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted or agent-based development workflows is critical.
- Candidates must be able to review, debug, and improve AI-generated code for production use.
Additional familiarity
- Familiarity with Postgres, Redis, or similar data stores is advantageous.
- Knowledge of caching, performance optimization, authentication, identity, observability, monitoring, event pipelines, and analytics systems is advantageous.
Example projects
Redesign and scale cart and checkout systems for multi-product flows and high concurrency.
Build shared platform layers for rewards, pricing, and promotions.
Improve page-load performance and API latency across global markets.
Design observability systems for real-time issue detection and debugging.
Create repeatable AI-assisted workflows for generating, testing, and validating production code.
