Merchant EMEA Engineering builds technology that helps merchants join, grow, and operate across 37 countries.
The team works across onboarding, business growth and support, analytics, recommendations, menu and order management, integrations, and merchant applications.
This Senior Full Stack Engineer role is based in Deliveroo's London tech hub and owns complex merchant product and technical problems end to end.
What you will do
- Design, build, and operate production systems across backend services and user-facing applications.
- Lead complex initiatives involving merchant onboarding, analytics, recommendations, order management, integrations, or merchant tools.
- Translate ambiguous business problems into scalable, pragmatic technical solutions.
- Drive architecture decisions around scalability, reliability, maintainability, and product needs.
- Own initiatives from discovery through implementation, rollout, production operation, and iteration.
- Collaborate with product, design, operations, and engineering teams.
- Mentor engineers through design discussions, code reviews, knowledge sharing, and technical guidance.
- Use AI-assisted development tools while maintaining software quality, security, and correctness.
