About the Role
Handshake's Frontend Platform Team builds the foundation that helps product engineers deliver clear, consistent, accessible, and high-quality frontend experiences.
The team owns the design system, component libraries, frontend accessibility, CI/CD infrastructure, developer tooling, and cross-cutting UI concerns.
The role is suited to an expert generalist with depth in selected areas and breadth across frontend architecture, developer experience, design systems, accessibility, infrastructure, and product needs.
What You'll Do
- Build reusable TypeScript and React components, patterns, APIs, documentation, and tooling used across multiple applications.
- Shape the design system, improve frontend developer experience, and create paved paths for development, testing, builds, releases, and maintenance.
- Use AI tools in daily engineering workflows and create reusable AI-enabled workflows for product teams and agents.
- Strengthen CI/CD infrastructure and make accessibility a built-in capability through APIs, guidance, and automated checks.
- Partner across engineering, design, product, and platform teams to drive durable technical solutions and adoption.
- Lead projects through implementation, rollout, documentation, and iteration, while mentoring and sharing knowledge.
