A partner company is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Frontend) based in the United Kingdom.
The role is part of a fully remote product engineering team building web experiences used by more than 11 million people worldwide.
The engineer will own user-facing features and influence product experience, frontend architecture and technical direction.
Accountabilities
- Build, maintain and evolve user-facing features across web-based products.
- Design frontend architecture, reusable UI components and business logic.
- Turn complex requirements and workflows into simple, intuitive user experiences with Product and Design.
- Own features from technical discovery and design through implementation, testing and release.
- Contribute to code reviews, engineering standards, architecture and technical decisions.
- Improve frontend reliability, maintainability, scalability and performance.
- Identify opportunities and explore technologies that improve user experience or the engineering environment.
- Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders and help shape product quality.
Requirements
- Strong professional experience with JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Deep production experience with React and modern frontend architecture.
- Understanding of ECMAScript standards, browser technologies and frontend state management.
- Experience with scalable application architectures and CSS preprocessors such as LESS or SASS.
- Backend knowledge covering Node.js, REST APIs and relational or NoSQL databases.
- Experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Linux and continuous deployment environments.
- Understanding of software engineering principles, performance, maintainability and reliability.
- Ability to work independently, take ownership and make sound decisions with limited oversight.
- Strong communication, collaboration, curiosity and continuous learning.
