Role Overview

Seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer and subject matter expert for Oracle telecom billing, pricing, mediation and reporting platforms.

The role covers development, implementation, configuration, upgrades and operational support across cloud-native Oracle BSS production environments.

The position requires expertise in telecom billing, mediation, pricing, discounting, revenue assurance, reporting and complex integrations.

Oracle BRM and Billing Systems

  • Design, develop, configure and support Oracle BRM 12.x and 15.x solutions in enterprise telecom environments.
  • Develop custom BRM components including opcodes, MTA applications and PCM C and PCM Java integrations.
  • Configure customer account management, subscription management, rating, charging, billing, invoicing, accounts receivable, taxation and general ledger modules.
  • Execute installation, upgrades, patching and migration activities.
  • Perform L2/L3 production troubleshooting and root cause analysis for billing, rating and discounting issues.
  • Monitor bill-cycle processing and validate rating outcomes, balance impacts and billing events using SQL.

Pricing and Mediation

  • Configure pricing catalogs, offers, discounts, bundles, packages, threshold charging and zone- or time-based pricing structures in PDC.
  • Manage pricing object migration, publishing, import/export and deployment across environments.
  • Design, configure and maintain OCOMC mediation workflows and customized cartridges.
  • Support mediation for voice, SMS, data and roaming traffic, including parsing, transformation, enrichment, routing and validation.
  • Troubleshoot mediation failures and maintain data integrity between network elements and downstream billing systems.

Reporting, Cloud and DevOps

  • Develop operational, financial and customer reporting solutions using BI Publisher and Oracle Analytics Publisher.
  • Create SQL data models, datasets and RTF or XLSX invoice templates, with scheduling, bursting and automated distribution.
  • Support cloud-native deployments of Oracle BRM, PDC, OCOMC and BI Publisher.
  • Perform Kubernetes and Helm deployments and upgrades, and participate in CI/CD, release management and deployment automation.
  • Manage version control, branching strategies and release governance across development, test and production environments.

Required Experience

  • 8-10+ years of hands-on telecom industry experience.
  • Extensive experience with Oracle BRM 12.x and 15.x.
  • Experience across development, implementation, upgrades, migrations and production support.
  • Experience supporting large-scale, mission-critical telecom billing and mediation platforms.
  • Technical skills include PDC, OCOMC, BI Publisher, Pipeline Manager, PCM C, PCM Java, Unix/Linux, Shell, Perl, PL/SQL, WebLogic, Kubernetes, Helm and Git.
