The opportunity
Design unified APIs that implement similar features across multiple platforms in a single, unified, and testable way.
Work closely with teammates and technical teams across Unity while respecting diverse communication styles and experiences.
What you will do
- Craft unified APIs for features across target platforms.
- Contribute API implementations and unit tests to the Unity codebase.
- Advocate for simple abstractions that unify disparate platform implementations.
- Deliver stable, high-quality products through robust API design and C# and C++ coding practices.
- Refactor code for efficiency and maintainability and resolve user issues.
What we are looking for
- Experience with C# and developing Unity-based games and extending the Unity editor.
- Experience abstracting requirements from different platforms into a cohesive API surface.
- Knowledge of native development on at least one desktop, mobile, or console platform.
- Experience contributing to cross-team projects from initiation through completion.
