Senior Software Engineer - Backend role for one of the employer’s clients.
The position is remote and conducted on a contract basis.
The engineer will develop high-performance software systems and collaborate with cross-functional teams on scalable solutions.
Compensation
- Payout is $50-$150 per hour.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and optimize software systems for performance and scalability.
- Lead code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and promote engineering best practices.
- Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to define technical requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues.
- Contribute to architecture and system design decisions for maintainable systems.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of professional software development experience in relevant technologies.
- Proficiency in Python, Java, or Go.
- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design principles.
- Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems.
