Position Overview

Support a newly established team building an Omnichannel Payment Platform and a new Point-of-Sale system.

Help stabilize the POS environment and integrate it with the Omnichannel Payment Platform.

Workplace

  • The role requires working onsite with cross-functional technical teams and using physical POS terminals and test hardware in an onsite POS lab.

Required Experience

  • At least 7 years of senior-level Java development experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring, and Spring Boot.
  • Experience developing RESTful APIs, backend microservices, API Gateway integrations, and enterprise system integrations.
  • Hands-on Point-of-Sale experience, including POS terminals or related test environments.
  • Experience in PCI-scoped, payment, financial, or security-sensitive environments.

Technology Stack

  • Required technologies include Java, Spring and Spring Boot, REST APIs, API Gateway, microservices, POS integration, PCI environments, and secure development practices.
  • Preferred skills include Kafka, event-driven architecture, payment systems, CI/CD, cloud, and containers.
  • SQL is explicitly not a requirement for this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain Java and Spring Boot backend services.
  • Integrate POS with the Omnichannel Payment Platform and downstream enterprise services.
  • Troubleshoot POS, backend, and payment-processing integrations.
  • Develop secure, scalable, and highly available services.
  • Collaborate across POS, payment, architecture, QA, DevOps, and product teams.
  • Participate in design, code reviews, architecture discussions, and automated testing.
  • Investigate complex integration and production issues through resolution.
  • Support event-driven architectures and messaging technologies as needed.
